Rally and Hearing on Oil Train Safety in Olympia, WA

Oil train derailment and fire in Lynchburg, VA

The public meeting on the Marine and Rail Oil Transportation Study is your opportunity to provide input, express your concerns, and ask Governor Inslee to take immediate action to address the threats to our communities, livelihoods, and waterways from the significant increase in  oil transportation in Washington state. Doors open at 5:00 pm and public hearing begins at 6:00 pm and goes to 9:00 pm.
Bus leaves from Vancouver at 2:30 pm from the Salmon Creek Park and Ride 1112 NE 136 Salmon Creek, WA 98685. Please email Ryan@GorgeFriends.org if you want to participate in the carpool from Portland or have any other questions.

Recreation Coalition Meetings

Join us for the 5th Recreation Coalition Meeting from 4:30 - 7:30 pm at the Cascade Locks Community Center. Pizza will be provided. Please note the starting time is 30 minutes later than our usual start time.

Directions to Cascade Locks Community Center: From I-84, take Exit #44 and travel into town on Wa-Na-Pa St. Look for signs for the Marine Park. Turn north into the park. After passing under the railroad bridge, turn left. The community center is the 3rd building on your right (cream color).
